Education . Dignity . Future.

Not everyone lacks ability they just lack an opportunity
Lack of vocational training opportunities
Lack of vocational training opportunities
For many young people from difficult backgrounds, a proper vocational training program is a luxury. Tuition, housing and living costs become a wall that forces them to leave school early and accept precarious jobs instead of learning a decent trade.
Lack of career guidance
Lack of career guidance
Not everyone is lucky enough to have someone to show the way. Many young people step into life without knowing what suits them, with no one to guide them and no trustworthy environment in which to discover their true abilities.
Lack of job opportunities
Lack of job opportunities
Finishing training does not guarantee a job. A lack of practical experience, industry connections and confidence keeps many young people stuck at the starting line, even when they already have the skills.
FRS opens the door to the future

Every student who comes to FRS travels a complete journey — from the first bewildered day to confidently entering the profession and providing for their own life

WHO IS FRS?

Francis Restaurant School is a socially oriented vocational education model, built on the DUAL training method of the Federal Republic of Germany, in cooperation with the Ho Chi Minh City College of Technology II and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK). We provide free training in culinary arts and restaurant service to disadvantaged young people, giving them the chance to learn a trade, build a career, and shape a sustainable future.

MISSION & VISION

We turn one opportunity into an independent life.

THE FOUNDER'S STORY

In 1976, Francis Nguyễn Văn Hội set foot in Germany in the middle of winter, without a penny to his name. His first job was washing dishes in the basement of a Bavarian eatery. Years later, he undertook formal culinary training and became the first Vietnamese person in Bavaria to earn the title of Küchenmeister — Master Chef — before rising to the position of restaurant manager. But he did not stop at his own success.

OUR TEAM

The core team is largely made up of alumni who have gone through the journey of learning the trade and then working in it — truly empathetic, close in their support yet never indulgent.
